BIOGRAPHY

Soyon Kwon is an oil painter living in New York City. She studied traditional realism oil painting at the University of Washington in Seattle. She spreads positive energy through figure and plein air oil painting, drawing her life purpose from seeing reality as if for the first time, as a baby. She sees beauty in everything, especially the overlooked, and thus makes found object soft sculpture as well, creating new “creatures” from recycled fabric and stuffing.
